IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE NATURALLY BY SOOTHING THE SOLE

Reflexology is based on the premise that there are zones and reflex points in the feet that correspond to all glands, organs, parts and systems of the body. There are 7,200 nerve endings in the feet that make up these reflex points. Applying thumb, finger or hand pressure to these reflex points will relax and balance all body systems. It is not foot massage, but is based on the principles of acupressure. Many of our health problems can be linked to stress. Research suggests that many illnesses such as headaches, neck & shoulder tension, colds, respiratory problems and even some cancers are stress related. Stress weakens the immune system. Reflexology reduces stress. Reducing stress is one of the best preventative measures you can take concerning your health. Try reflexology today, for your health’s sake!

After removing only your shoes and socks, each session starts off with a warm aromatherapy foot bath. You then lie on a massage table with your legs & feet comfortably elevated. Soft music, an eye pillow, and warm towels for the feet are provided to help achieve complete relaxation during the reflexology session. Many people fall asleep during a session and feel refreshed upon waking. A full reflexology session lasts about an hour. Experience the benefits of reflexology today! Please call or email me for an appointment. Reiki sessions are also available.

THE MORE OFTEN YOU RECEIVE REFLEXOLOGY, THE MORE BENEFITS YOU ARE LIKELY TO NOTICE

I worked for five years at Kent Hospital in the Integrative Care Department. I provided Reiki and Reflexology sessions to patients, staff, and community. Being able to work with patients was one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. Seeing first hand how Reiki and Reflexology helped to reduce pain, stress and anxiety strengthened my belief that these two therapies were more than just pampering. They are therapies that can benefit everyone. Many patients asked to receive these therapies more than once during their stay at the hospital and felt the benefits helped to speed their recovery.

WHY I BECAME A REFLEXOLOGIST

I worked at Kent Hospital for a year as a Reiki Master. In that year's time I worked alongside other reflexologists seeing many patients and staff. Reflexology fascinated me. I was always amazed at how relaxed everyone was after a reflexology session. Many patients commented that it was the only thing that helped them through their day. Staff came repeatedly for reflexology sessions, so clearly they felt the benefits. Knowing how soothing and relaxing Reiki was I wanted to learn Reflexology and incorporate the two modalities. Not only do I physically work the reflexes of the feet, I also Reiki them. Many people find this combination to be beneficial physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I hope you do too.

ARCB Certification – What it means and is it important?

Being ARCB Certified means not only have I met the national standard of 200+ hours of schooling, completed 160 documented sessions, taken a written and practical exam, I had to provide the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) with an additional 90 documented sessions, written and practical exam. I’m also required to obtain CEU’s on a regular basis. This means that I have the experience & knowledge that you deserve. I know all the reflex areas & all the corresponding reflex areas to work when you have a problem. You deserve to have an experienced professional work on your feet. Make sure that anyone who works on your feet has the proper schooling and credentials.

A Brief Explanation of Reiki

Reiki means universal life force energy. A Reiki session involves the gentle act of "laying on of hands" which results in the life-force energy of the client's body becoming amplified and balanced. Reiki complements all types of medical treatment. It helps to relieve stress, anxiety, and pain; it helps reduce insomnia; and it can also energize. Emotions such as grief and anger can be released. There are no side effects or contraindications so it is safe for everyone from babies to the elderly. A session involves lying down on a comfortable massage table while fully clothed. The practitioner will place her hands on top of your clothing over certain positions on your body. Many people feel so relaxed during a session they will fall asleep.

Reiki and Reflexology (R&R) Testimonial

There are very few things in the world that I enjoy more than my hour of R&R at Sundance every other week. I am constantly amazed at the wisdom and healing power of my Reiki practitioner, Diane Alexander.

I lead a fairly busy life: commuting to work in Boston when I am not traveling to client sites all over the United States and Canada. Before I began my R&R treatments, I felt strained and anxious most every day. My acceptance of the healing power of Reiki through Diane's hands has greatly alleviated those negative sensations.

Reiki and Reflexology also helped me recover from an odd illness that I suddenly acquired - it always blows me away that Diane can locate a problem area, even if I don't tell her!

Reiki has changed my life, making me a more spiritual person than I ever imagined becoming. This new outlook on life has led to new opportunities – such as joining a Church for the first time in over 30 years.

At the conclusion of my treatment, I feel remarkably calm and yet energized at the same time. It's all a question of balance, and R&R at Sundance helps me to attain it.
